Acara Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technic ian (Guide Way) to work with our client in Phoenix, AZ.

Pay: $20.00 p/hr. + 10 % differential  

Shift: 3rd shift - 10pm - 6am

Job Type: 8-12 Month Contract

Location: Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport

Overview
The Maintenance Technician  will troubleshoot and identify failure causes; repair or initiate the repair of failed items and perform recovery/corrective or preventive maintenance of vehicle and wayside systems, subsystems, and components. 

• Preventive maintenance, inspection, and adjustment tasks and procedures are well established and require normal supervision.
• Incumbents will follow the direction of higher-level personnel in preventive or corrective maintenance phases of work. 
• Associates exercise considerable latitude and open judgment in the troubleshooting and recommended repair of equipment.

Key Responsibilities 

• Remove all old power rail covers from inside the beam and on the power rail.
• Install new power rail covers throughout the system.
• Conduct debris clean-up from the guide way utilizing vacuums, brooms, and shovels.
• Reviews and understands safety instructions, procedures, nature of technical activity and possible solutions
• Follows company security and safety instructions or procedures to prevent any personal injuries 
• Maintain a safe fleet that will meet the demands of a reliable commuter service.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

- High School Diploma

Preferred Skills

- Ability to pass federal background check, drug test and physical exam.

- Responsible with attendance

- Motivated to learn.

- Basic mechanical or maintenance experience, understanding of use with general hand tools
