Summary

I'm hiring a daycare Assistant for my in-home daycare 15-20 hours a week Monday thru Friday, must be available to work shifts between the hours of 6:30 am and 545pm. Most shifts will be mid morning to closing but, may vary depending on call outs and requests for time off and need. Willing to be a team player, get along easily with fellow workers, have a good sense of humor, easy going, dependable, punctual, and works well with others, willing to learn, self motivated and flexible.

Must enjoy working with kids, have patience and understanding for children of all ages. Willing to engage in daily activities and conversation in a positive manner. Must be reliable, self motivated, able to take initiative, take directions in a positive manner and multi task.. No weekends or evenings

I am willing to train the right person if you are willing to learn. THIS IS NOT BABYSITTING. We offer a preschool program and a learning environment. Experience in a formal setting like a home daycare or center is a plus.

This is a part time position but has potential to work into full time. I consider full time 30 hours or more.

Duties

You will be required to work with kids ages 2 months to 12 years of age. Change diapers, help prepare meals, feed infants and toddlers as needed, document feedings, naps for infants, provide support during preschool activities, help maintain the cleanliness of the daycare area, provide outside and inside supervision, communicate with parents about their child's day, engage with children during free time, and help provide a safe and positive learning environment.

Requirements

******18 years of age
******TB test completed prior to start date
*******DCYF approved Background check completed prior to starting

1 year of experience either in an in-home daycare or center
High School Diploma 
First Aid/CPR for infants and children completed with in the first 30 days
30 hours of STARS training completed with in the first 6 months
Reliable transportation, (I'm not near a bus route)
Food Handlers Card with in the first 30 days

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year experience in a Licensed Daycare or center.
Be fluent in both english
