Corporate Paralegal – Temp to Hire | West Hills, CA (Onsite)

About the Role
A global technology and services company is seeking a Corporate Paralegal for its West Hills office. This temp-to-hire role will support a wide range of legal functions, including contracts, licensing, corporate governance, intellectual property, compliance, and litigation support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment. Experience in aerospace or manufacturing is a plus.

As a Corporate Paralegal, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the company’s legal operations run efficiently, contracts are properly managed, and compliance obligations are met. You will work closely with in-house counsel, business teams, and outside counsel, contributing to high-impact legal projects that support business growth.

What You’ll Do

Contract Support & Administration

  • Maintain the contract management database and organize the contract library (templates, forms, and reference materials).
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements including NDAs, service agreements, consulting agreements, and licensing agreements.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze statutes, case law, and industry regulations; perform Secretary of State searches.
  • Resolve routine legal and contract issues while balancing business needs and minimizing risk.

Litigation Support

  • Assist with legal pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and case management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel, ensuring deadlines are tracked and filings are accurate.

Intellectual Property

  • Support marketing and business teams with trademark and copyright reviews.
  • Manage and track IP registrations and assist outside counsel with required filings and samples.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Assist with compliance reviews including Privacy, GDPR, PCI, and FCPA.
  • Maintain compliance logs and related documentation.

Corporate Governance & Legal Operations

  • Support corporate secretarial functions including board and committee materials, corporate records, and minute books.
  • Manage department correspondence, legal files, and approval/signature processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate required.
  • 4+ years of prior paralegal experience, with at least 3 years in a corporate environment strongly preferred.
  • California Notary Public preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong drafting, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
