Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will handle high-volume invoice processing, ensuring accurate data entry and matching of purchase orders with tickets and costs. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to grow within a reputable organization in the construction industry. Responsibilities: - Process incoming invoices related to material purchases, ensuring they align with purchase orders, tickets, and haul amounts. - Verify ticket volumes and costs for accuracy and enter data into the system promptly and efficiently. - Manage a high volume of data entry tasks, maintaining precision and attention to detail. - Utilize Viewpoint software, Excel, Outlook, and Teams to complete daily responsibilities. - Collaborate with the materials team to address discrepancies and resolve vendor-related issues. - Ensure timely and accurate payment processing for all incoming materials. - Maintain organized records of all transactions and support reporting requirements. - Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment or invoice concerns. - Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Accounts Payable department by supporting process improvements. Requirements - Proven experience in high-volume accounts payable processes. - Familiarity with purchase orders - Proficiency in accounting software systems, particularly Viewpoint Vista is a plus. - Strong skills in Excel for data tracking and reporting. - Ability to perform accurate and efficient data entry under tight deadlines. - Knowledge of ERP systems and accounting functions. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility for remote work as needed.
